It really sucks VW didn’t put that 6MT in more MkIVs. The 5 speed was a really nice box but it had some wonky gear spacing in the normal GTI, and the 6 speed feels exactly the same but with pretty much perfect ratios. As it stands, you can only get it in the special editions and the late 24v models, both of which are fairly uncommon.
